I really appreciate they made a metal lid if you want the option instead of plastic. I prefer it to the plastic lid, it looks and feels more premium. I would like to see them offer it with the bottle though instead of a separate purchase. Thankfully the purchase price isn’t too bad. I bought 3 for my hydro flask bottles. Wish this option existed for other brands so much respect for giving this option. Sometimes the lid closes nice and smoothly but sometimes it grinds but not always.

Fits all my wide mouth Hydroflask bottles. Seems to improve the insulation based on my current non-scientific testing. Not by a whole lot but seems to improve how long it takes for ice to melt. I just like the fact that no plastic is touching my water honestly. It also makes it feel more premium and there is a better rubber ring inside for sealing the bottle.

This cap is sure to last a long time. The stainless steel finish matches the hydroflask lightweight trail series bottle perfectly.

All steel except for the silicone seal on the inside and the silicone strap on the outside. Just what I was looking for to reduce my plastic exposure on an everyday basis. The only con is the cap is 85g, slightly more than the 50g plastic cap that came with the bottle.

Oh and it squeaks a bit when you screw it on tightly if that bother you.
