Un peu de chaleur!

For this cardigan, I probably should have ordered a size down. It’s a very loose cardigan all around. It’s not that it’s big for its size, but the shape is a loose, round (non-fitted) shape. The quality (material, stitching, buttons) seems pretty good though.

Loose cardigan

I bought a size small and checked the size chart carefully (both on Altitudes website as well as the company’s website) first to be sure it would fit as this is a European brand. For reference, I’m 5’8”, 127 lbs, and almost always a true size small in every sweater, top, or jacket. This sweater is made from a lovely soft wool and I chose the gorgeous deep red colour. Sadly, the fit is way off. Sleeves were too wide and awkwardly very short, even on my 5’3” friend who is always a size medium and tried it as well. The sweater itself is shapeless and sticks out and gapes oddly around the waist in the back. Not a nice look at all. It’s also very wide through the body. I definitely like to buy sweaters that are cropped but not shapeless and awkwardly wide. Sadly, back it went.
