I was looking for a good option to wear as a light midlayer when I might want to pull the layer on indoors - like sitting on a patio in downtown Victoria when the temps drop. Something athletic, but also classy, which won&#x27;t make me look like I just dropped in off the trails, but which will work for walking around in three seasons, including layered under a shell. This jacket fits all those requirements, with extra points for style. 

Fit is generous enough to wear over a nice shirt or light sweater/long-sleeved layer. The quilting is warm, but not too thick. The neck gives enough coverage to fend off drafts. And the dark navy colour should work in any environment. 

Would I replace a true thermal mid-layer -- ie one with primaloft in the body and sleeves -- with this jacket? Not likely. But for wearing out under a shell on a drizzly day where i might end up indoors with a chill, it&#x27;s going to get a lot of use. And as a &quot;grab on the way out the door on a slightly chilly dry day&quot; option, it&#x27;ll also get a lot of play.

I ordered this jacket for spring and i like that i can also wear it as a midlayer for winter too. The quality did not disappoint. I am 5ft7, 160lbs and ordered a size small and fit was perfect.
