Overall these a great boots, especially on sale. They are very warm, quite tall, and quite comfortable. However, they come with a few downsides, which I will detail. Firstly, they are tall, but the shaft is a bit slouchy, so expect them to slouch a bit down your calves unless your calves are very thick. Secondly, they run a bit large and the heel slips for me; I think it&#x27;s a combo of my foot shape, them being slightly oversized even for winter boots, and the design of the shoe, which has a thick, somewhat stiff, relatively heavy and very grippy rubber sole, which also seems to not insulate well (but this was easily fixed by adding felt insoles). Thirdly, the shearling could be a bit thicker and more durable, especially at the higher price point. Finally, the first pair I got developed a small rip in the shaft, so Altitude claimed the warranty and I returned them for store credit. Overall, these are among the better shearling boots that are easily available in Canada, but I have purchased better shearling boots in Germany at a lower cost. My only other comment is that these are not delicate, ladylike boots; the foot platform is wide and somewhat clunky. It&#x27;s not that feminine, but I also never slip in them. So I&#x27;d recommend these boots for city walking in terrible weather. They&#x27;re great for that, even if they are slightly more difficult to walk in that less heavy duty footwear (but they are much more walkable than similarly rated heavy duty winter boots). I find the Helene much better than my Baffins for city walking, for example.

Good boots, but not perfect

These are beautiful and very warm winter boots. They are true to size - I ordered .5 size up (only ones left for me) and they are too big. The shearling lining is so soft and comfortable. The boots are comfortable and a good rich black suede. Not too high a heel with a good sole. An investment purchase which should last a long time.

As expected, this La Cannadienne boots is very well-made. Even though my Ugg is very good, I still can tell the difference once I touch, the shearling of this boots is very smooth, shine and warm. (5 stars for appearance)

Normally, I wear size 5.5 only. Since this is a pair of boots, I decided to size up to 6.5. However, I the narrow wide make me a bit uncomfortable. 

To be honest, I don&#x27;t have fat legs but they are a bit muscle. Even when I had checked the circumstances clearly before ordered, I still could not zip up 😭. 

I don&#x27;t know what to do. This is a pair of beautiful boots, I absolutely love it and got it with a good price but I cannot wear it since it for models&#x27; legs only.

Extremely well-made but only for narrow foot and slim legs.

This is my 11th or 12th pair of La Canadienne boots and I am always happy the the quality. I am happy that the brand offer &quot;Made in Canada&quot; shoes at reasonable prices. I will continue to buy from the brand. This pair is exceptionally warm and comfortable.

La Canadienne never disappoints

Love the fact Altitude Sports and La Canadienne are both Canadian. Super easy online shopping with Altitude and the customer service is superb. This pair of boots is unbelievable well made (IN CANADA). It is stylish, soft and warm, and the heel is the best. I love walking so really dreaded about not able to walk outside once the snow hits. With this pair of boots, I can really track outside without worrying about slip and fall and kill myself. I bought half size up to accommodate thicker socks but otherwise it is true to size. Will buy more of La Canadienne and from Altitude
