I’m flat footed and find that barefoot shoes reduce discomfort. Toe box is comfy and wide like I would expect from a barefoot shoe. Road feel is good but you do get a sense that there is some protection from the outsole. The outsole sensation is similar to the new balance 10v but thinner - this is good or bad depending on what your expectations are. I would not trail run in these but would, without any hesitation, wear them in the city or running on paved ground.

Ces chaussures sont très fidèles à leur description. La semelle, très fine, est plus confortable que je ne l&#x27;aurais pensé et le pied est complètement libre de tout mouvement, sans maintien. L&#x27;espace pour l&#x27;avant du pied est généreux comparativement à plusieurs autres chaussures de courses à pointure égale.

Sizes and size charts are wrong!

Incroyablement légères et flexibles. Une sensation étrange comme si on marchait pieds nus. Un design particulier qui demande de s&#x27;y habituer (largeur naturelle pour les pieds). Des chaussures très différentes qui nous ramènent à notre nature. Attention, ça taille très grand, je chasse d&#x27;habitude du 9, j&#x27;ai opté pour de la taille 8 et avec des chaussettes fines c&#x27;est correct. Je ne les ai pas essayé à la course.

Comme pieds nus !

This is my first pair of barefoot shoes and so far so good. Be aware that these have zero support deliberately. 

The color in person is actually more greenish and not really blue like the photos show, and the map contour line pattern is less pronounced. They still look pretty good, but I think I would have preferred the blue tones. The shape is completely different than conventional shoes, being very wide and square at the toes - ie how your feet are actually shaped. Not the nicest aesthetically, but I think I&#x27;ll get used to it.

For fit: I wear a size 10 in most other conventional shoes, and the 9 fits me great, a bit snug, and the 9.5 is less snug but too long. Now, I wouldn&#x27;t quite say these are sized too big, because I always had to wear size 10 shoes to accommodate the width and high instep of my feet, leaving a lot of toe room. So I would suggest if you have wide feet, to order the size according to the length of shoe that you think you should wear. Of course, you should really order many sizes and choose the best.

Materials are nice and feel durable. There is a slight elastic feel to them so they hug your feet and keep them stable on the sole. The shoe is very flexible and the sole is thin, but actually offers slight cushioning. These might not be suitable for hardcore barefootists.

First day in barefoot shoes, and I&#x27;m hooked

Je suis un fan du Vapor Glove, un soulier (vraiment!) minimaliste sans support rigide pour le pied, ultra léger, flexible et muni d&#x27;un drop de 0 mm. 

Pour la version 4, le fit anatomique, le design et les matériaux stretch de l&#x27;empeigne sont similaires à la version précédente, si ce n&#x27;est quelques modifications apportées aux renforts qui recouvrent les côtés du soulier, l&#x27;ajout de nouveaux lacets plats élastiques et l&#x27;offre d&#x27;une nouvelle couleur (bleu!). Sinon, le véritable changement dans cette chaussure provient de l&#x27;introduction par Merrell d&#x27;une nouvelle semelle Vibram munie de crampons de 2 mm. Officiellement, ce soulier est annoncé comme un soulier de trail, mais détrompez-vous, il s&#x27;agit surtout, comme les versions précédentes, d&#x27;un soulier de route. Tout au plus, le Vapor Glove 4 pourrait convenir dans des sentiers urbains aménagés où les racines saillantes et les gros cailloux ne sont pas trop présents. Ceci dit, malgré les modifications apportées à la semelle, la nature minimaliste du soulier est conservée. Au final, j&#x27;adore toujours autant cette nouvelle version que la précédente! Toutefois, attention, ce soulier s&#x27;adresse au gens qui ont l&#x27;habitude de courir en mode minimaliste! Pour avoir un fit parfait, je recommande de prendre une demi pointure en moins que celle à laquelle vous êtes habituée.

Bare foot comfortable, not your regular sneaker. Great if you know what you are want from the shoe. I was looking for more foot support so went with another Merrel shoe.
