Love this cup ! When buying it, make sure you get the mug vs the tumbler if you&#x27;re looking for a bigger volume (480mL for the mug), as I&#x27;d missed this when buying a second one for a gift . I love the way the mug feels in my hand in terms of its texture and it does feel cooler to hold compared to the regular x-mug, but still gives you some warmth on those cold mornings camping. It is very sturdy and folds down flat along with the rest of the x-series from this brand. Love it and got two as gifts already, too ! Two of these fit into the 1.3L X-pot so can make for a very compact set :)

It’s a little bit bigger than the normal mug by sts, but very good and versatile in general.

Excellent mug

I like the new design of the x mug. The cool grip has a ribbed pattern that reduces contact to the actual surface of the cup. It easily compresses to a flat disc shape, which I usually store flush under my backpacking cook pot. For comparison the small version is ideal for small drinks like coffee and tea, and the larger version is ideal for small meals like soups and stews.

Better than a titanium mug

The cup is easy too clean. Open and close easy. Recommend for people need spare cups.

Nice for travel

Nice foldable cup. I use it during my motorcycle trips. It fold small, so does not take much place. You can drink a very hot morning coffee without burning your finger or your lips.

Well made and pack small

Although I have never been disappointed with any Sea to Summit purchase, I was skeptical about this design. With its rim larger than the base, It just looks like something that is going to topple over. I also didn&#x27;t like the idea of putting a piping hot beverage in silicone. I thought it would be too hot to hold. But I didn&#x27;t feel comfortable about packing and portaging 4 full size cups that take up so much room and can dent or crack.in tight packing. I decided to try 2 of these X mugs (16 oz) and 2 X tumblers (12 oz). They are sturdy, stable and not easy to knock over. The Cool Grip fins are worth the extra $2 more than the standard model. All 4 of these pack perfectly inside the kettle in space which was often wasted. It is always more convenient to have articles used together to be packed together...no more looking for loose cups tucked somewhere in a pack. In fact, they can be tucked in outside pack pockets or shirt/pants pockets and used during paddling or portaging...no more cups hanging loosely from a pack. I&#x27;d even carry one in my purse for convenience in getting water from a fountain, especially in an airport, where water bottles are not easily filled. These are not just for camping.

I love the idea of saving space and weight were I can and this delivers on both aspects. The unique design doesn&#x27;t burn your fingers as your holding it. It also keeps drinks warm for a decent amount of time.

The Perfect, Lightweight Mug

Just about the right size for me for a big Americano in the morning, and even suitable as a small bowl (granola, soup, etc.). Packs flat so it&#x27;s great for the travel bag. Add a spork -- mess kit = done.
