Offering great flexibility, the Shift is the perfect drysuit for touring and adventure paddling.
While it looks like separate jacket and pants, the Shift is actually a 100% dry, one-piece suit. Stand-by Mode : the Shift offers the user the ability to wear the suit in a stand-by mode, where the latex neck gasket is off and the entry-zip is open. The outer jacket can be zipped closed, to provide excellent wind and rain protection, while allowing for greater breathability and comfort while on shore. Stand-by mode is perfect for launches, lunches, scouting, and instruction, when wind and waterproof protection are required, but the possibility of submersion is low. Waterproof/Breathable Fabric : the Rampart™ 3-layer waterproof/breathable fabric in the Shift suit features a non-porous, hydrophilic polyurethane membrane. The non-porous nature of the membrane provides better long term breathability in salt water environments, as the PU membrane will not become clogged with salt water particles, as with traditional porous waterproof/breathable membranes.
