Beautiful and Functional
Hello - just have to start with how beautiful this jacket is. The colour blocking with the tans/khaki/purple is really stunning, yet neutral. It is a jacket I’ll be smiling at for years, and if your clothing and essentials don’t give you joy…you know you're going to keep trying to buy ‘the right one,’ and ultimately own 4+ raincoats - so why not buy the right one the first time? Well, this is that jacket for me. I may have left a review already, but I’ve forgotten if I have. The jacket is lined on the upper back, but the rest has a coating that is not like those other brands where it’s a white film that is sticky and peels off on your arm eventually. No. This jacket has a coating that feels like a layer. It’s soft, and feels breathable. The coating inside feels like a thin piece of suede, and most definitely doesn’t feel sticky or tacky on a bare arm. There is a double zipper which is ideal for a trench length, and it’s definitely packable, with no extra bulk. So, it won’t be great at keeping you warm, but it will deal with rain and wind for you. Hood is a good size, and pockets are great and deep and useful. Overall, I’m really glad with the purchase, and happy to buy a product from a company that encourages us to all ‘do good. ’ Cotopaxi is a great company to support.
