These pants kept me warm enough without overheating in low exertion (hiking) in -4C to 8C with winds up to 40km/h. I didn’t use the vent zips but they’ll come in handy in future higher exertion activities. Also, there a drawstring waist inside but they also have a regular button and fly outside so they’re super flexible depending on your base layers.
I bought a 34 waist, wearing a 33 typically, knowing I’d wear these pants with a thin fleece under-layer. However, they are still too big and the draw string is cheap (it stretches during use). Will have to tailor and add a buckle, increasing the final cost.
Even though the fit was off and the style didn’t suite me - the materials were top grade and the construction of the pants were high quality. Felt lose and tight in all the wrong areas for me and they felt like they were function only and didn’t have style in mind when designing them. For the money they’re good pants and would recommend giving them a try.
