Lightweight, breathable, and great for layering
At 5'11" and 215 lbs, this jacket in Large fits me really well for snowboarding. I was specifically looking for something light and breathable rather than heavily insulated, especially because I tend to run warm and often do hike-in riding. Breathability was a top priority for me, and this jacket has been excellent in that regard. It feels lightweight and comfortable without sacrificing weather protection, and there is still just enough room to layer a lightweight packable down or synthetic vest/jacket underneath for colder days below about -15°C to keep me warm on the chairlift. Overall, it strikes a really nice balance between weather protection, breathability, mobility, and layering flexibility for snowboarding.
