C'est un daily trainer avec du répondant, on sent qu'il a envie d'accélérer. J'ai du prendre 1/2 pointure plus petite que d'habitude mais par contre elles sont plus étroites que d'autres. Elles ne sont pas pour les peids forts
The big thing with these shoes is that they fit very narrow. If you have big, wide feet, these aren’t the shoes for you. The upper is very structured and well padded, the midsole is world-class with great energy return and a firmer ride that allows for uptempo work as well as daily miles. The shoes are super light for a daily trainer and I took them for a 21km run out of the box without issue. These would make an excellent winter running shoe as there is lots of industry-leading Puma Grip rubber on the outside with a tread design that is aggressive enough to handle some light trail work as well. It is a shame Puma isn’t more popular out east in New Brunswick where I am from, this is my third pair of Puma’s now (DNE4, MagMax, VN4) and I feel they are on par quality-wise with top brands like Asics. Puma is definitely worth a look as they are a great quality shoe and usually if you shop hard enough, they provide better value than most brands as well.
I wanted a low profile running shoe to replace my Brooks and ASICS. I researched and Puma has really invested in upgrading their shoes and this shoe is fantastic. It is comfortable, has good support and does not have a bulky / wide sole like many of their competitors.
I was a fan of version 3 of this shoe but this one is a huge upgrade. Its fit is improved so it’s more comfortable and the better midsole is lighter and more lively. Seems like this shoe is going to be great for a variety of paces and distances!
The Puma Velocity 4 is a very comfortable daily trainer. Like many Puma shoes, the grip is excellent and feels very reliable on the road. The midsole is nicely bouncy, which makes the ride feel lively and enjoyable while running. Overall, it’s a comfortable shoe with great traction and a fun, responsive feel.
Vraiment satisfait de ces chaussures qui changent un peu de ce que je porte habituellement avec un profil un peu plus "low stack". Super polyvalentes, avec un feeling "naturel" tout en ayant du rebond et du répondant, et le grip est excellent. Point d'attention au fit, qui est relativement étroit. Niveau taille je suis habituellement entre 10 et 10. 5, et le 10. 5 était parfait pour moi. Seul petit bémol, lorsque j'ai mesuré, il y avait une différence de 20 grammes (donc presque 10% d'écart) entre le pied droit et le pied gauche, ça ne se ressent pas trop à la course, mais ça prouve que le contrôle de qualité est assez hasardeux. Aussi j'aurais vraiment aimé avoir plus d'options au niveau du choix de la couleur.
Probably one of the top 3 shoes for best bang for the buck in 2025. Simply a do-it-all. . . slow, fast, short or long. Congrats to Puma for v4, really an incredible package.
The foam on this shoe feels great. I've only used it on easy runs so far, but I'm looking forward to using it as my daily trainer for the next while. The shoe fits true to size. My only complaint is the shoe is a bit narrow, so it's not the most comfortable. I also don't have wide feet. I'd still recommend them.
This version of Nitro foam is really responsive! Perfect for you daily kilometres on the road or the treadmill. Bouncy and lightweight. I would say go half a size up if you have wider feet.
Fit is pretty narrow if you have wide feet stay away. Foam is top tier for a daily trainer, if you want a high drop daily with no rocker
