  Beautiful table with portability design flaws

  The beautiful aesthetics of this table are the main attraction for this, it's elegantly minimalist and the teak looks wonderful. I purchased it with the intent of only using it as a home coffee table. It has one major flaw for camp furniture at this price point: the legs are not stainless steel, they are regular steel with some type of electrostatic coating. The coating comes off very easily, especially as it needs to rub against stainless steel hinges to fold and unfold, causing the steel legs to become exposed and thus prone to rusting. I suggest keeping this product for indoor use only, and to apply some extra protection. I made some floor-contact pads using black rubber tubing, and stuck some rubber tape at the hinge contact points under the table to reduce painted steel-on-stainless contact. If the legs were made of stainless steel, this would easily be a 5-star product if we take price out of the equation.

  This is a beautiful table. It is fairly heavy and bulky to carry around but if you are car camping or want a nice table for your patio - consider this one. The teak inserts are removable and may be replaced by one of the Snow Peak's IGT inserts (a little stove for example). Mine will get a lot of use. Not too large and not too tall but goes well with a low beach chair.
