  Killer Duffel for Weekends away

  09/08/26

After a lot of debating I couldn't be happier with this duffel - it's got The North Face quality you'd expect - hardware all feels super solid, it's simple, and functional. the full U-zipper top is clutch for being able to access your stuff on the go. great pockets inside and outside the bag, as well as loads on loops for additional accessories or clipping things on. Took off one star because it's missing a shoulder strap. . . it functions as a backpack or carry bag only. . .

provides massive storage and lightweight durability that easily handled a multi-day getaway. Its removable internal divider kept my dirty and clean gear perfectly separated,

Good, some design limitations, slightly small

  08/22/26

I have not used this properly, and may return it. It is slightly smaller than I need, which is a shame because it seems like a great duffle otherwise. There is a strange design flaw with the pouch that that shoulder straps tuck away into. Why doesn’t this pouch have a closure? The straps fall out and dangle around if I pick it up with the handle at the opposite end. Strange. Also adding a closure would just provide more storage options. Some of the pocket designs are good, but like most duffles they also just take up internal space, which is a drawback of duffles in general - not enough structure. Otherwise, well made. The shoulder strap design is better (more comfortable, solid, better positioned) than others like Patagonia. The carry handles are well thought out (I like they are off centre to help the bag swing away from your body). And the easy access pockets on the outside are great (very much lacking on Patagonia’s duffles). Shame I can’t justify keeping this really.
