I bought these pants for cross-country skiing and mountain biking. I expected the fabric to be stretchy in all directions, but it only stretches side to side, and not with the knee as it bends. The fabric isn&#x27;t particularly smooth either, so when I wear them with long-johns instead of sliding or stretching it just catches, pulling the pants down. so while it may be good for climbing and other pursuits, it&#x27;s not great for what I was looking for. The waist band is also very stretchy, and doesn&#x27;t provide much hold. On the plus side, there are belt loops, so when I wear these for running or hiking I&#x27;ll be able to use a belt. As it is, for skiing and biking I have to use suspenders. 

On the quality side, the butt seam started to come apart after 2 uses (skiing), and there&#x27;s fraying in one of the butt pockets. I also find the thigh pocket to be of limited value: a phone doesn&#x27;t fit vertically, and would be too big to fit across the thigh. but at the same time it&#x27;s too big for snacks (gels or power bars). 

I really wanted to like these pants and this company because they&#x27;re Canadian but they&#x27;re just not working for me. They may work for you, but I thought there&#x27;s value in pointing these things out.

J&#x27;ai acheté ces pantalons pour faire du ski de fond et du vélo de montagne. Malheureusement, le tissu ne &quot;stretch&quot; pas dans le bons ses pour ces activités. Il est extensible à &quot;l&#x27;horizontal&quot; (droite-gauche), mais n&#x27;est pas extensible avec le genou quand il se plie. Du coup, quand je le porte avec des caleçons longs ça finit par tirer le pantalon vers le bas. La bande élastique à la taille n&#x27;est pas particulièrement forte non plus, mais au moins y&#x27;a des ganses pour porter une ceinture. Moi j&#x27;ai trouvé qu&#x27;il faut que je portes des bretelles. 

La qualité de finition n&#x27;était pas top: la couture dans le siège s&#x27;est défaite après deux utilisations on ski, et une des poches sur les fesses se défait aussi. C&#x27;est assez facile à y remédier par contre.

Ce ne sont pas nécessairement de mauvais pantalons, juste pas particulièrement adaptés à mes activités. J&#x27;aurais aimé le savoir avant de les acheter, alors je partage mon expérience ici. . . C&#x27;est dommage parce que je voulais vraiment soutenir une compagnie de chez nous.

Very happy after wearing this pant 30 days outdoors. Fabric softens with wear and feels great. Durable, ideal for cooler weather activity. Front pockets are well designed, though rear pockets feel unnecessary. An excellent combination of technical features and style. Attend to sizing guidelines as waist will run big by design.

Luxury Pant

I was looking for a pair of pants to replace my ancient Schoeller cloth pants that I use for Nordic skiing and hiking. These pants are outstanding. They have performed very well in the cold and hiking In warmer conditions. I highly recommend them.
