Good comfort &amp; fit (little tight in the heel socket for me). Great traction on the street in the slippery light snow conditions.

Runnin’ for Fitness

I decided on this pair mainly for winter road running after wearing a pair of Kinvara 8s for the whole summer season. I&#x27;ve currently run about 50k in these over about 1 month in Montreal.
Size-wise, I bought the same size and they&#x27;re a bit looser than the Kinvaras, probably on purpose to fit a thicker pair of socks.
As expected, they are quite heavy due to the vibram soles and overlays meant to protect you from the winter, so it&#x27;s wise to work them into your shoe rotation gradually. The shoe is quite cushioned and comfortable despite the lacing system being a typical Peregrine &quot;meh&quot;.
I haven&#x27;t felt wet when running in the rain or snow, haven&#x27;t gotten any rocks in them while running, and most importantly, haven&#x27;t slipped on the roads. While they won&#x27;t protect you from the most slippery sheets of ice (no spikes), they&#x27;ve given me confidence to run much more freely than last year.
I also took them out on a trail run/hike with my partner, who was wearing a pair of Sense Rides. I only felt that the ground was slippery on steeper inclines, while she unfortunately had difficulty the whole run.

Grippy but won&#x27;t save you all the time

Souliers de course pour l&#x27;hiver très confortable , moi , je ne peux pas les recommandé car la semelle est presque minimaliste et j&#x27;ai des mots de dos ,donc je recommanderais sans hésité ces chaussures à quelqu&#x27;un qui n&#x27;a pas de problèmes de dos et qui est un coureur neutre.

Saucony Peregrine 8 ICE

Excellent soulier pour la course là où il y a des plaques de glace ou de la neige compactée. Il n&#x27;offre pas nécessairement une meilleure traction sur la glace, mais je me sens plus en sécurité. Il est amplement chaud et très confortable.

Idéal pour la ville et les routes déneigées de la campagne.

I&#x27;ve tried these guys out in fresh 8cm of snow/slush and a few patches of ice. I compare these to the likes of snow tires for your car. They gave me a lot of traction and confidence and allowed me to run 10k at my usual pace which I thought was impressive. They helped keep me sure footed on icey patches, but you can still slip if not careful. These are not spiked shoes, but I don&#x27;t expect them to be (same way you pt chains on you car tires for terrible conditions). For running on the road, these shoes are really fantastic for dealing with winter muck. They keep my feet warm and provide me with much needed extra grip in an impressive way. For the winter road warrior these certainly have made me very happy.
