Comfortable and Innovative Urban Performer — Excited to Take It on the Trail
I’ve been wearing the Merrell SpeedARC Surge BOA Hiking Shoes for about a week now, mostly in an urban setting, and so far I’m very impressed. The shoe is extremely comfortable right out of the box, offering great support and cushioning for walking around the city. The BOA lacing system is one of my favorite features — it makes getting the perfect fit quick and effortless. I really appreciate being able to fine-tune the tightness with a simple twist, especially on the go. While I haven’t yet tested them on the trail, they already feel like a well-balanced combination of stability and flexibility. The only small critique is that the shoes tend to squeak a little, which I suspect comes from the plastic stability plate between the sole and upper. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to note. Overall, these shoes have made a strong first impression. If they perform as well on the trails as they do in the city, they’ll easily become one of my go-to pairs for both hiking and everyday wear.
