Bought this for one of my kids as his brother said he wished he had an extra pocket in his Patagonia Black Hole 26L pack. Plenty of space for him to throw his lunch or extra book/binder away from his laptop and he will be able to reuse the bag for traveling as a personal item with the luggage passthrough. Looking forward to years of use thanks to Patagonia quality and no hassle repairs service in Toronto.
Great quality. Lots of pockets and nice to have the choice of colour.
Looks fairly slim and compact from the outside but lots of space inside and enough pockets to group things as needed. Really lives up to its Black Hole name. Comfortable backpack too and decent in the rain.
Nice unique colour. Wide zipper opening. Plan to use for a jiu-jitsu gi wide the spacious main compartment. Nice long water bottle pockets and other small storage pocket
It such a nice sized bag to use on a day trip. I’m 5ft so it’s a little big for me to use on hikes or activities where I need to carry this bag the whole day but it’s great for when I go to a friend’s place overnight or trips where I don’t need to wear it constantly. I also like to pack it for day trips where I can leave the bag in the car. It’s a great size to fit a lot of spare clothes and things to it might need for the day.
It is slightly smaller than I expected based on pics but it’s perfect. Super well made and practical design. Love the separate laptop slot
The backpack is light weight yet feels durable. Ample space with 3 pockets, 2 water bottle holders and a separate laptop compartment, which provides easy access without have to opening the main compartment of the pack.
This is a terrific piece from Patagonia. I typically travel with a 22-25L day pack but found those limiting, especially with the new fancy ergonomic cuts. Bought this one, and was instantly in love. The material is akin to no-tear ballistic nylon, but much lighter. Compartments and access were well thought out. Isn’t advertised as water/weatherproof, but has survived a the very harsh winter commutes across the country this year. Some folks complain about the shallow water bottle slot on the side, but it works fine for my 591mL Yeti Rambler. This bag is a must have for commuters and jet-setters alike.
This pack is exactly as it says, a black hole. I debated between this one and the Refugio pack. I went with the Refugio as the straps felt better on me and have adjustments for weight that the black hole strap doesn't.
Fantastic with packing cubes but the one annoying this is that it doesn’t balance on its base and always tips forward. Just the design of the weight distribution when resting on the ground. Otherwise, great to wear and works as carry-on
