  Great shoe

  My teen found it comfortable yet performs well - good for intermediate climber I would say. Has a size 40/41 EU in regular shoes. Needs a 42 in this climbing shoe.

  Solid, dependable shoes. Kind of a jack of all trades master of none, but if you want comfortable shoes that’ll perform you can’t go wrong. More or less true to street size, though down half or a full if you want a performance fit.

  Almost the perfect shoe - just not the Cinderella for me.

  Once i had the Scarpa – Vapor V Climbing Shoes in my hands, it ticked all the boxes for what I was looking for in a moderately-agressive gym shoe with the quality build i've expected climbing with Scarpa footwear starting over 30 years. But once I found the size adaption I was looking for, and slipped my foot inside, there was a bit too much play in the heel and around the ankle for my Egyptian-shaped foot I wasn't disappointed in the shoe, just that it wasn't the slipper for me.

  Versatile, Balanced, Comfortable

  I had the old orange Vapor V for many years and finally decided to replace them with the new one. These shoes, like the previous model, are a great intermediate climbing shoe which are technical enough for bouldering but not so uncomfortable that you can’t use them for longer routes too. The rubber on these is great and they feel more precise than the old shoes with slightly more pronounced downturn. The shape of these shoes is perfect for my slightly wider feet - I’ve never found a Sportiva shoe that fits me - consistent with all the other Scarpa shoes I’ve had. I bought my street shoe size and that’s a tight fit for me that will still require breaking in and right now they’re a little painful on my Achilles. You could maybe go down a 1/2 if you want a really performance fit but the break-in may be tough.
