My boys wear these socks every day on trip. They go in and out of the water, carry them through portages, and dry out nicely overnight. Stupid expensive but worth it for the comfort and performance. Have been able to hand them down even after extensive use. They run a hair small especially if you plan to put them through the dryer.

You can never go wrong with Smartwool. I remember when we used to wear 2 pairs of socks during the winter. No more! My kid is particular with clothing garments and he has no issues with Smartwool socks. They're comfy and toasty.

I buy Smartwool socks every Christmas for my children and grandchildren. This pair was for my 5 year old grandson who enjoys downhill skiing. They are good quality, cushioned at the heels and toes , made of merino wool and keep his feet toasty warm while outdoors during the winter months. The children’s socks run a bit on the small size so I tend to buy a size up
